We believe that a straightforward, plain and reasonably priced uniform does much to develop a feeling of identity amongst students at school. All students must be in full, correct uniform every day.

Uniform items must be plain, without accessories, logos, decoration or any other colours.

      Compulsory items:

• Blazers: Black blazer with logo*.
• Shirt: Plain white shirt with collar, short or long sleeved.
• Tie*: Academy tie.
• Trousers: Plain black, tailored trousers. Logos or zips etc. are not allowed. The trousers must be the appropriate school trousers with a loose leg fit and not jeggings, jeans or pencil-tight trousers. Trousers must be at a length which covers the ankles.
• Skirts: Black pleated skirt, of an acceptable length and should sit on or just above the knee and should not be tight-fitting. Girls wearing a skirt must wear 60 denier black tights.
• Shoes: Plain black polishable, leather upper school shoes.
• Socks: All students wearing trousers must wear plain black socks with no logos. 

     Optional items:

• Jumpers*- must not be worn instead of a BHA blazer but can be worn underneath.
• Hair bobbles: Hair bobbles must be black or purple and no other hair accessories are permitted.
• Belts: If a belt is worn, it must be plain with a small buckle.  

     

PE Kit

     Compulsory Items:

• T-Shirt: Black BHA t-shirt with logo*
• Shorts: Black BHA shorts with logo*
• Socks: Black with pink trim BHA football socks*
• PE Bag: Black BHA drawstring bag*
• Sports trainers/football boots (depending on their activity) – (pumps, Converse, Vans etc and plimsolls are not allowed)

      Optional items:

• Tracksuit bottoms: Black BHA bottoms*
• Sweatshirt: Black BHA 1/4 Zip PE top*

      Jewellery, decoration and other items

 

• Jewellery: No jewellery is allowed.
• Hair: Natural hair colours only. No coloured extensions or hair dye. No shaved hair patterns.
• Hats: Plain black woollen hat, only to be worn outside the buildings during cold weather.
• Scarves: Plain black.
• Make-up: To be modest and discreet (no lipstick, false eyelashes, acrylic nails).
